since 1979. The creation and placement of destination features, event consulting, on-site photography and increased
client awareness through social media are a few of his many services also now available to more traditional businesses. A professional writer and photographer for more than 30-years, Michael
Baxter has worked with national and regional publications such as The Houston Chronicle, Atlanta Magazine, Luxury
Log Homes & Timber Frame, Aquatics International Magazine, and Bluegrass Unlimited. He has also co-authored books for
clients such as Houston's Allied Siding & Windows.
In
addition to his regular editorial assignments, Michael Baxter has created brochures, press releases and other projects
for businesses such as Six Flags AstroWorld, SplashTown Waterpark, Space Center Houston, and The Port of Galveston. He
has also worked with sports network, ESPN.
Having been
associated with live music for many years, Baxter has developed strong relationships with regional entertainers and the media
sources for promoting them. The "King" of Texas Blues - Ezra Charles, Texas honky-tonk Country performers Miss Leslie
& Her Juke-Jointers, Louisiana's first family of Swamp Pop - L'Angelus, Lone Star singer/songwriter Kyle
Hutton, and Nashville-based Stephanie Urbina Jones are a few of Baxter's current and former clients. Michael Baxter is a Journalism grad
from Georgia State University - Atlanta, and has spent most of his career in tourism and entertainment marketing.
He served for six
years on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, is
immediate Past President of the Great Northwest Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, and serves on the Board of the Texas
Festivals & Events Association.
